Our story

The story behind

My journey started as a child when I used to go to an orphanage in PNG with my mother to entertain and play with the children that lived there.  Most children in the orphanage were there because they had an acquired disability and had been rejected by their community.  This experience shaped me as a human,  always wanting to give, support and care for people in my community.

Many years have been spent volunteering at my children’s school, sporting clubs and bringing communities together with social community activities. My friends and family will contest that I am a gatherer of soles, a mother to all.

I spent many years working with people; planning their financial futures, considering their goals and budgets, educating and assisting but it missed the caring and nurturing elements to make me feel satisfied in my career. However, it put me in good stead for being a successful Support Co-ordinator and business owner. After a long time of helping people set goals for financial independence, I was ready for a new challenge one that had more purpose and impact. I decided to retrain and hit the books, explored the internet and reached out to the wonderful sharing community of disability and aged care. Fast forward I became educated but wanted to experience things from the ground up, experience a wide range of conditions and environments impacting people’s lives so I cared for people in SIL’s, private homes and the community, worked for large organisations and small. Seen the good the bad and the ugly some would say.

Ever since I took the plunge, I have enjoyed every interaction I have had within the community care field.

I absolutely love building relationships and helping people overcome challenges they face, helping people to connect and support them in choosing the lives they wish to lead. It is such rewarding work; I want to get out of bed and every day I go to bed knowing I made a difference.
An opportunity recently presented itself to open my own company, one that I can structure and provide services using all the knowledge and experience I have gained from the ground up, one that will enable people to have access to quality EVERYDAY SUPPORTS. Supports and services delivered by staff that must accept and adapt the Y.E.S Supportive Care Model. A model that is based on everyone being unique, staff respecting and honouring their needs, so that every person can live a full meaningful life, knowing they will have a professional, empathetic, passionate, innovative and a caring community around them.

I would love to work with you or your family member. I hope you find the information on this website helpful, and if you wish to know more reach out to one of my Care team members.
