With a combination of nursing advice and service, personalised Care Plans, Telehealth Support and Carer training we’ll provide you with the support you need to live well with a catheter.
Catheter Care at Home

Our team of home nurses can help with catheter insertion and care, as well as changing, emptying, and cleaning of urine collection bag.

Our team are also trained on the connection of Uroshield. This breakthrough technology and ultrasound device reduces the risk of catheter associated urinary tract infection (CAUTI). It can also provide potential relief from spasm, catheter pain and prevents the attachment of bacteria to the catheter of long term users reducing the risks of catheter associated infections. Your Enabled Services (Y.E.S) can provide clients with information on how to find out more on the Uroshield product.

Your Enabled Services (Y.E.S) operate our catheter care services in line with the guidelines set out by Australian Community Industry Alliance specifically ACIA 014 Catheter Care by Support Workers in the Community.

Telehealth support – Preventing infection & complications

We can arrange a Telehealth Catheter consult that can provide you with strategies to help prevent any issues you may have with your catheter. You will be able to explain any discomfort and issues with equipment and they will work with your carer, GP or Urologist to solve problems as quickly as possible. This consult could not only solve your problems but provide you with a more financially viable catheter solution.

National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)
You may use your NDIS funding to engage our disability support services if:

You may directly book services with Y.E.S and we will issue you the service invoice for you to submit to claims.
• A plan manager manages your NDIS funds
You may connect Y.E.S with your plan manager to facilitate service bookings using your NDIS funds.

Urinary Catheter Care Training for Support workers and carers

This program is designed specifically for support workers and carers to obtain the essential knowledge and skills to assist clients and loved ones to manage their urinary elimination needs via a catheter or external drainage device. Staff engaged in catheter management must be familiar and observant for signs of, wound infections, urinary tract infections, urinary retention, adequate urinary output and delirium.
Clinical Practitioners will demonstrate and explain infection control guidelines, the management of different types of catheters and external drainage devices and discuss potential complications. This training is recommended to be face to face, however a video conferencing services is also available.
The training goes for 2 hours and 30 minutes and participants will be assessed on;
